Please note:

Wills are not notarized in California. They must be signed in front of two adult witnesses. These witnesses do not need to know the signer but must be present during signing.

Notary Ally does not provide witnesses, so please plan ahead if your document requires them.

All signings are done in person, and a current, non-expired photo ID is required. If ID isn’t available, two credible witnesses who know the signer personally may be used—but they cannot be named in or benefit from the document. Once they have identified you, they do not need to be present throughout the rest of the appointment.
